Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
1. Scope
1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how Skro OÜ ("Skro", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar browser storage on skro.eu, including our marketing pages, blog, and user guides. Read it together with our Privacy Policy for information about personal data and how to contact us.
1.2 This policy describes storage used by the Skro public website. Our Ads Manager application and tracking that Skro customers install on their own websites involve separate services and settings. Customers are responsible for explaining their own tracking practices and providing appropriate visitor controls. A choice made in this website's cookie popup does not change cookie choices on a customer's website or in a separate application.
2. Cookies and similar storage
2.1 Cookies are small values saved by your browser. Some last for a browsing session; others remain until their expiry date or until you delete them. We also use local storage and session storage. Local storage can remain between visits, while session storage normally lasts until you close the browser tab.
2.2 These technologies can remember preferences, measure website usage, attribute visits to campaigns, or keep a support conversation connected. An identifier can relate visits or activity to the same browser without containing your name.
3. Your choices
3.1 Necessary: the website groups Tawk live chat, Skro tracking, and website preferences in this category. These services are enabled by default on the public website.
3.2 Other: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is controlled by the analytics preference. Select Accept all to enable it and dismiss the popup.
3.3 Customize: switch Other · Google Analytics 4 on or off, then select Save preferences. The Necessary category stays enabled.
3.4 When no choice has been saved, clicking elsewhere on the page or scrolling the page down at least 100 pixels from its position when the popup appeared automatically enables GA4 and dismisses the popup. Interacting with the popup or its customization controls does not trigger this automatic acceptance. Once a choice is saved, later clicks and scrolls do not override it. You can change the GA4 setting through Cookie preferences in the footer.
3.5 We save your choice for one year from the time you save it. If it expires or you clear the consent cookie, the popup asks you again.
4. Necessary cookies and requested preferences
4.1 Skro stores the following preference values directly. The preference cookies remember whether GA4 is enabled. The theme preference remembers the light or dark appearance you select. Tawk and Skro tracking storage are listed in sections 6 and 7 and are enabled independently of the GA4 preference.
| Name | Purpose | Storage and duration |
|---|---|---|
skro-cookie-consent | Saves whether Google Analytics 4 is enabled. | First-party cookie; one year from saving your choice. |
allow-cookies | Compatibility value that reflects the saved GA4 preference. | First-party cookie; one year from saving your choice. |
theme | Remembers your selected light or dark appearance. | Local storage; no fixed expiry, until replaced or cleared. |
5. Analytics: Google Analytics 4
5.1 With Other · Google Analytics 4 enabled, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, page use, and navigation through the website. Google processes usage information and browser identifiers through this service.
| Name | Purpose | Storage and duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes browsers for analytics. | First-party cookie; Google's default lifetime is two years. |
_ga_* | Maintains analytics session information. | First-party cookie; Google's default lifetime is two years. |
5.2 Actual expiry can be shorter because of browser restrictions or changes to Analytics settings, and cookies may be renewed on later visits. These are cookie lifetimes, not a statement about how long all Analytics data is retained.
5.3 See Google's GA4 cookie documentation and Google's Privacy Policy for provider information.
6. Campaign attribution: Skro
6.1 Our Skro tracking script loads by default as part of the Necessary category and connects a visit to the campaign or source that brought it to the website. It uses a click identifier and campaign information, including tracking parameters and referring-page information. The attribution request is sent to our configured tracking domain, goskro.click.
| Name | Purpose | Storage and duration |
|---|---|---|
skro-click-id | Stores the Skro click identifier used for campaign attribution. | First-party cookie; configured lifetime of 30 days from when it is set or replaced. |
skro-click-id | Retains the click identifier within the current tab. | Session storage; normally until the tab closes. |
6.2 The cookie and session-storage item share a name but are separate browser values. The GA4 preference does not disable the website's Skro attribution script.
7. Live chat: Tawk
7.1 We load the Tawk chat widget by default as part of the Necessary category so you can contact support. Tawk uses cookies and browser storage to recognize a returning browser and maintain chat connections across pages or tabs. Information you choose to send in a conversation is also processed through the chat service.
| Name or pattern | Purpose | Storage and duration |
|---|---|---|
tawk_uuid_* | Recognizes a browser for the configured chat property. | Cookie; Tawk documents a six-month lifetime for its property visitor identifier. |
twk_idm_key | Coordinates chat connections. | Session cookie. |
TawkConnectionTime | Helps synchronize connections across tabs. | Session cookie. |
twk_token_* and other widget storage | Supports chat sessions and coordination. | Local or session storage; duration depends on the widget item. Local storage has no automatic browser expiry. |
7.2 Names can include a property identifier and can change as Tawk updates its widget. Tawk also documents temporary coordination values and PreviousNav session storage. See Tawk's cookie and storage documentation for its current inventory and Tawk's Privacy Policy for its processing practices.
7.3 Cookie expiry does not determine how long a support message is kept. Changing the GA4 preference does not disable Tawk or delete messages you have already sent.
8. Change or withdraw your choice
8.1 Select Cookie preferences in the website footer to reopen the customization controls. Switch Other · Google Analytics 4 on or off and select Save preferences.
8.2 When you disable previously enabled GA4, the website saves your new choice and reloads the current page so GA4 stops running. It removes known Google Analytics first-party cookies that the website can access. Tawk, Skro tracking, preference cookies, and your selected theme remain.
8.3 The website cannot clear every provider-controlled or inaccessible storage value. To remove remaining values, use your browser's controls to clear cookies and site data. Disabling GA4 stops its future loading on visits using that saved choice; it does not automatically erase information already received by Google. Tawk and Skro tracking remain enabled under the website’s Necessary category. Contact us about personal-data requests using the details below.
8.4 You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking storage may prevent us from remembering your cookie choice or theme and can affect live-chat functionality.
9. Updates to this policy
9.1 We may update this policy when our website services, storage, or controls change. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will ask for a new choice if a future change requires renewed permission rather than treating an existing choice as permission for a new purpose.
